Solar Charging

The Explorer 1500 Ultra supports compatible solar charging through its two DC8020 input ports, with up to 800W of combined solar input.

The solar-equipped configuration available on this page includes two SolarSaga 200W panels, providing 400W of combined rated panel capacity.

Jackery specifies an approximate charging time of 5.5 hours using two compatible SolarSaga 200W panels under suitable conditions.

The Explorer itself supports up to 800W of solar input, so additional compatible solar capacity may allow faster charging than the included 400W configuration.

Actual solar generation and charging time depend on sunlight intensity, panel orientation, shading, temperature, battery state of charge, connected equipment, and other environmental conditions.

Solar panels are included only with the configuration that specifically identifies the two SolarSaga 200W panels as included equipment.

Charging Options

The Explorer 1500 Ultra supports multiple charging methods.

AC charging: Approximately 1.5 hours under supported conditions.

Solar charging: Up to 800W of compatible solar input.

Vehicle charging: Compatible 12V vehicle charging is supported. Jackery specifies approximately 17 hours for standard vehicle charging.

Compatible higher-power alternator charging may also be available using separately sold Jackery equipment.

Actual charging times vary according to the power source, connected equipment, battery state of charge, environmental conditions, and other factors.

Operating Temperature

The Explorer 1500 Ultra has a specified discharge temperature range of approximately 5°F to 113°F (-15°C to 45°C).

At temperatures between approximately 5°F and 14°F (-15°C to -10°C), available output power may be limited to approximately 1,000W as part of the system's low-temperature battery protection.

Charging is specified for temperatures from approximately 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C).

Warranty

The Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra is covered by Jackery's 3-year manufacturer's limited warranty, subject to Jackery's applicable warranty terms, eligibility requirements, exclusions, and claim procedures.
